Crow's Poems #2: Creature

It is breathing
Seething.
It squirms and screeches inside.
The true creature within me,
Beyond the mask,
Beyond the structure of society,
It roars and surges, trying to pry its way out.
It's painful to be human,
With this creature trying to push out,
Trying to kill the normalcy.
It twitches and hollers,
Screaming,
Wings beating,
As it pushes, cuts, and scorches,
A wild creature,
trapped in a sophisticated body and world.
